A little formula update 🌿

When we originally created our Gentle Manuka Face Wash, we added a tiny amount of vanilla essential oil because we weren’t sure how everyone would feel about the natural scent of the Manuka honey.

As it turns out, the honey scent is something we’re often complimented on — so the little hint of vanilla simply isn’t needed.

As part of our ongoing approach to keeping our formulas as simple and gentle as possible, we’ve decided to remove it completely.

Our new 50ml Face Wash is already vanilla essential oil-free, and our 150ml bottles will follow as our existing batches are replaced with the updated formula.

For years, I had relatively clear skin—but things changed in my later years when I began to struggle with acne and rosacea. I have PCOS, which may be part of the reason, but honestly, I was never completely sure why my skin suddenly became reactive and unpredictable.

I tried countless products—many of them expensive, all of them promising—but they only made things worse: more irritation, more breakouts, more confusion. So I turned inward and started working with natural, functional ingredients—the ones with a reputation for being gentle and effective.
